Chongqing on the Yangtze

Chongqing is a provincial-level municipality. With more than 12 million inhabitants it is the third largest town in China.
The city is built at the confluation of the Yangtze Jiang and the Jialing river, and there are many amazing beautiful sites to visit in and around the town.

The Yuzhong District is the capital and the political and economical center of Chongqing municipality.

Hechuan is one of the districts in the north of the prefecture, about 54 km away from Yuzhong. The district is located at the meeting point of the Jialing River, Fu River and Qu River.

Fishing Town, or Fishing City, is 5 km away from Hechuan city, and is also called the “Oriental Mecca” and “the Place That Broke God's Whip”. It is one of the three great ancient battlefields of China.
